Let’s Talk Some Shirts
November 18, 2008So, you want to buy a shirt. We want you to buy a shirt. They’re great shirts and while I may be biased, I like to think that I have good taste. I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t like the shirts I was selling (future jokes of being able to sell the shirt off my back might be included in future posts.)
We have an easy-to-read sizing chart on our site that will help you determine which size is best for you, however I do have a word for the wise: the Classic Girl Ts do run a tad small. They’re fitted. My advice to you should you decide on the Classic is go with caution and perhaps order a size up. We will include this information on the website as well (at least in a more prominent part of the site….it’s currently up on the exchange policy page) but I wanted to take a preemptive measure here and let you all know this now before you order.
Care and Washing of Your Shirt
We offer shirts from American Apparel which have garment care instructions on the label. As an avid collector of graphic tees, I almost always make it a hard and fast rule to take even better care than the label says. I wash my tees in cold water inside-out. The reason I do this is because it will extend the life of the screen print to, like, forever. Not many people do this with graphic tees, but, again, as someone who owns a gazillion graphic tees and as someone who is married to a t-shirt geek, I spend a lot of my laundry time washing t-shirts. I know what I am talking about. I know how to make these babies last. And why wouldn’t you want to make your tee last? They are just as important as your business suit, IMO.
Try a mild detergent, too. Actually, I’m a huge fan of anything Method comes out with and I find their detergents not only mild, but they are also safe for the environment which is a HUGE deal to me. Also, pretty smells!
The same goes for your hooded shirt, btw. Wash it with my instructions above and you can’t go wrong. I do not lie. I am here to help!
And if you have any questions about the shirts themselves, the designs, or just want to say hi, comment below. I love hearing from you!
